Presentations / Interviews
In "Monero: Sound Money Safe Mode," the first post-pandemic update of the Monero Means Money lecture/documentary, Dr. Daniel Kim provides a comprehensive overview of Monero and Bitcoin within the larger context of gold and fiat currency in the 2020 financial crisis. The source footage for this presentation was livestreamed August 7-8, 2020 as the keynote talks for Monero Village at DEF CON 28.
Dr. Kim offers his insights and commentary on American post-pandemic monetary policy, civil liberties, and technological innovation in a wide-ranging and nonpartisan discussion with Mr. Douglas Tuman (R), candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, 4th Congressional District of New York.
Monero Means Money is a documentary film featuring Dr. Kim's live keynote speech from CCC/CDC -- Europe's largest computer security conference -- recorded December 2019 in Leipzig, Germany. This lecture is now freely available for viewing, following a virtual "theatrical" run in April 2020. Dr. Kim's contributions to this film were made on a pro bono basis; 100% of net box office proceeds went to independent U.S. theaters in shutdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Dr. Kim discusses cryptotrusts - a hybrid solution in which trusts within favorable jurisdictions can hold self-custodied cryptocurrencies as part of their investment portfolios - in conversation with David Warren, JD, President and CEO of the Bridgeford Trust Company.
Dr. Kim is a co-author of “Liquidity as an Investment Style”, which the CFA Institute selected as the 2013 winner of its prestigious Graham and Dodd Top Award for original research in applied finance.
Dr. Kim’s bibliography of published research contains innovative, peer-reviewed papers in particle physics, radiotherapy, healthcare IT, and equity investing.
