In "Behavioral Finance, Cryptocurrency Markets," Dr. Daniel Kim's latest keynote lecture presented at the virtual TCV Summit, Dr. Kim weaves together award-winning research from academic finance with case studies from both the legacy financial and cryptocurrency markets to examine the degree to which cryptocurrency markets achieve efficient price discovery.
In "Monero: Sound Money Safe Mode," the first post-pandemic update of the Monero Means Money lecture/documentary, Dr. Daniel Kim provides a comprehensive overview of Monero and Bitcoin within the larger context of gold and fiat currency in the 2020 financial crisis. The source footage for this presentation was livestreamed August 7-8, 2020 as the keynote talks for Monero Village at DEF CON 28.
Monero Means Money is a documentary film featuring Dr. Kim's live keynote speech from CCC/CDC -- Europe's largest computer security conference -- recorded December 2019 in Leipzig, Germany. This lecture is now freely available for viewing, following a virtual "theatrical" run in April 2020. Dr. Kim's contributions to this film were made on a pro bono basis; 100% of net box office proceeds went to independent U.S. theaters in shutdown due to the COVID-19 epidemic.
Dr. Kim discusses cryptotrusts - a hybrid solution in which trusts within favorable jurisdictions can hold self-custodied cryptocurrencies as part of their investment portfolios - in conversation with David Warren, JD, President and CEO of the Bridgeford Trust Company.
Dr. Kim is a co-author of “Liquidity as an Investment Style”, which the CFA Institute selected as the 2013 winner of its prestigious Graham and Dodd Top Award for original research in applied finance.
